Hi, I’m Karen.

My coaching offering has emerged through my own scenic route to a life that feels authentic to me. I chose to step away from my career as a solicitor after eight years and with my husband Derek, we built Segotia, a Yoga + Art space rooted in wellbeing, creativity and meaningful connection.

It was a decision shaped by learning to trust my intuition and reconnecting with my creativity. I have created a way of living that feels sustainable rather than constantly driven by pressure and overwhelm. What I learned in that process, I want to offer to others.

Raising a neurodivergent child has further deepened my understanding of nervous system regulation, emotional wellbeing, and the importance of creating a life that supports who we truly are. It has shown me how I spent years disconnected from myself, stuck in survival mode, and how transformative it is to feel safe and understood.

Today, I support people who are feeling overwhelmed or disconnected to reconnect with themselves through coaching, creativity, and nervous system-informed practices.

My Approach

My style of coaching is compassionate and grounded. I am focused on helping you cultivate greater clarity, resilience, and self-trust so that you can create a life that feels fulfilling to you.

I combine personal coaching, nervous system regulation, mindset work, and conscious self-awareness to support sustainable change.

Life can be very complicated, coaching is not, it is about bringing things back to basics. What I will do is listen and guide you through removing limiting beliefs and obstacles getting in your way.

Simple ideas

We will use simple techniques, empowering you to access your own solutions. You are the expert on your own life. We sometimes just need to turn down the outside noise to hear ourselves.

Lasting impact

We will give your body and mind the best chance to make meaningful, lasting change, using ancient wisdom, backed by knowledge of the brain and nervous system.

Frequently Asked Questions

You are the expert on your life. My role is to support you with compassion, curiosity, and grounded guidance as you move towards the changes you want to make.

  • You do not need to identify as “creative” to benefit from this work. Creativity is not just painting, writing, or making art, it is how we relate to ourselves, solve problems, express emotions, build relationships, and shape our lives.

Many people lose connection with their creativity through stress, pressure, burnout, or self-doubt. Part of this work is gently reconnecting with the parts of yourself that may have been pushed aside.

  • My work is shaped not only by professional training, but by lived experience, leaving a career in law, building a more aligned life, navigating burnout, creativity, motherhood, and nervous-system healing.

I am interested in helping people reconnect with themselves and create lives that feel calmer, more authentic, and more sustainable.

If what I am saying is resonating with you, then maybe what I am offering may be useful to you at this time.
